Whitney Davison, a former teacher and Education Manager for the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor and National Canal Museum, notes, “A great way to teach history is to teach global topics locally in the places where historical events actually happened. The best ways to do that are through field trips or to bring artifacts and educators from historic sites and museums into the classroom. We want to make sure our teachers know that a wealth of resources are available to them.”
