FAMILY FUN

Stop by after a visit to the Easton Winter Village and make a holiday themed craft at the Sigal Museum.

All ages, kids, and families are welcome to this December 9 drop-in style program.

CHRISTMAS 1755

Enjoy tours of the 1753 Bachmann Publick House led by costumed docents on December 9, and make a historical holiday craft to take home.

Make sure to exchange greetings with the Honorable Doctor Benjamin Franklin, who will be in residence to reminisce about his Christmas visit to Easton in 1755.

Get into the holiday spirit with a walking tour of historic downtown Easton! You’ll hear little known facts and stories about our community’s past, while enjoying the seasonal decorations and hustle and bustle of this festive time of year.

Tours will be held on December 2, 9 & 16. Registration is required.

FORGED BY FIRE: THE HEROISM, HONOR, AND HISTORY OF FIREFIGHTING

Featuring objects from the 18th century to the present, personal stories, and family-friendly interactive displays, this special exhibition takes a fresh look at the history of firefighting in Northampton County.

Learn about early Colonial era town planning in Bethlehem and Nazareth and the modern technology and equipment that save lives today. Enjoy tales of bravery and heroism, and the story of Easton’s beloved fire dog, Frank. Visit hands-on stations to try on turn-out gear, hand-drill a colonial water pipe, and experience what it takes to be a firefighter.

GIVING TREE for the CHILDREN’S HOME OF EASTON

Each year, NCHGS members and friends make the holidays a bit brighter for kids at the Children’s Home of Easton.

Stop by the lobby of Sigal Museum starting November 24, pick a gift tag from the tree, purchase your gift, and return it to the museum by December 17. We will deliver your presents in time for CHE’s holiday party!

EASTON’S WINTER VILLAGE

Bring your family to Easton’s Winter Village from November 18-December 17 and enjoy a magical start to the holiday season!

Shop artisan crafts, gifts, and businesses at the huts on Centre Square, take a horse-drawn carriage ride, cozy up with delicious food and drinks at local restaurants, or take a spin around the outdoor ice rink. Stop by Sigal Museum for a stroll through history, family-friendly activities in the Discovery Room, and holiday gifts in our Museum Store.

The museum will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
