Explore the Past with Passport to History Partner Sites!
AUGUST 2023
Thank you to all who came out for Passport to History Month in July! More than 35 partner sites opened their doors for free, hosting thousands of visitors from all across the region, state, and country. If you missed a chance to visit, or are looking for new places to explore, check out our August events below.

Get outside for Peach Festival, a Great Waters Paddle, or a field trip to Jim Thorpe. Venture forth for MusikFest historic walking tours, a Weekend Wander, and a Cars and Cones Cruise-In. Get crafty with workshops on Hex Sign Painting and Blue Jean Totes. Or listen to talks on Washington’s Sullivan Expedition of 1779, Native Americans in Durham’s Colonial History, or Morale, Morality & Moravianism in Trinidad: 1885-1935. Enjoy a host of free family activities, plus musical entertainment featuring Serene Green with Owl and Crow and folk music of Pennsylvania’s coal country. Or help kick off the Fries Rebellion Film Project, a multi-partner initiative, at the Teaser Trailer Premiere and happy hour events. See you there!
