Spots still remain for CCEEC’s two plant related programs set for this Saturday, October 12. Please join us!
Creating Backyard Wildlife Habitats
At 10:00 am, native gardening guru Katie Fisk returns to CCEEC with a talk on how to meet the needs of food, water, shelter, and space for wildlife. Her tips have been honed by experiences in her own lush, native garden, and offer ways to improve any property, large or small.
Katie is the Animal Curator and Educator at Briar Bush Nature Center In Abington, PA, where her fun and informative talks are always well-received.
From bird feeding and brush piles, to bird baths and DIY ponds, she’ll explain how you can turn your own yard into a 5-star wildlife resort!
All ages welcome. The program is free for EEC members and a $5 donation is requested of non-members.
Call to register, and leave a message if you get the machine.
Plant Swap
After Katie’s talk, and from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, all plant enthusiasts are invited to CCEEC’s semi-annual plant swap. Come with—or without—garden plants to share. No registration necessary for this free program.
Native plants encouraged but not required. Houseplants, cuttings, and seeds welcome too! Come talk shop with fellow gardening and plant enthusiasts.
No invasive species, please.
