      Butterfly Garden Blitz

      Nockamixon State Park – May 24 and May 26
      Nockamixon State Park is having a butterfly garden blitz on May 24 and May 26 at 8:00am.  Our butterfly garden is growing- a little too well! We need help weeding and getting the garden in shape for the summer. Please come on May 24 or May 26 prepared to work!  We’ll be meeting by the butterfly garden, which is right next to the Marina Building.  Please bring your own gloves and shovel. If you have a rake, hoe and kneeling pad they would also be helpful.

      Please call the Nockamixon State Park Education Center at (215) 529-7307 with any questions.

      Pastors Heron & Anglore Barclay in association with Soul Winners Pentecostal Church presents our 3rd. Annual Prayer Breakfast.  The date is Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 1913 Freemansburg Ave., Easton, PA 18042 and will begin at 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

      The theme of the event is “Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God”…Luke 12:31.  Guest speaker is Sis. Lorraine Barnett (NJ).

      Sunday, May 27—Festival of Pentecost and Confirmation

      Service of Holy Communion at both the 8 am and 10:30 am services.

      The 8:00 am service will celebrate Memorial Day and remember our active duty and retired veterans with the conclusion of the service outside and a wreath laying in the adjoining church cemetery. The 8:00 am service will also include two members of Jordan receiving the God and Me Religious Award: Aidan Kontir (son of Ty and Carol Kontir) of Cub Scout Pack 25 (meeting at St. Paul’s Third Lutheran Church in Palmer Township), and Jon Kloiber (son of Amy and Frank Kloiber), of Cub Scout Pack 1600 at Jordan UCC. Jon and Aidan completed a program of study with their dads and Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith, Senior Pastor of Jordan, prior to receiving this award. (This may be a good photo opportunity. However, please ask the permission of the parents before you publish photos of Jon and Aidan and also of Rev. Dr. Smith if you want to include any of his comments or a photo of him.)

      The 10:30 am will be the service of Holy Communion plus the Rite of Confirmation.

      The Grace Notes will be opening their concert season at Mayfair in Allentown on Sunday May 27th.  Their concert begins at 1:00 PM.  If you enjoy the sounds of big band music come on out and enjoy listening to the Grace Notes.

      The Carpenters Community Church located at 4609 Newburg Road, Nazareth, PA 18064 will be presenting in Concert The African Children’s Choir on Sunday Evening May 27th at 6:30 PM.

       

      A free will offering will be taken to support the ministry that is saving African children one child at a time.

      National Bible Bee.  This will be the 4th year.  It is a top-notch organization, and we wish that many more people will hear of it.  Feel free to check out the website.  It shows where all the local bees are located nationally.  If you have any additional questions, contact the official local hosts Andrew and Peggy Brimer.
      How can 2 verse cards and 20 minutes a day deepen your family’s relationship with Christ this summer?  The Bible Bee’s family Bible study materials are dynamic, yet easy to use for your entire family.  The Lehigh Valley local contest will be held in August, and it will allow youth from 7 to 18 years to be recognized for their diligence.   The top local contestants from across the nation will compete at the National Competition.  Family registration is open until May 31.  For all the details, go to www.BibleBee.org.
