NOCKAMIXON STATE PARK – May 25 at 10:00 am
Get ready to rock! On May 25 at 10:00 am we’ll discover some of Nockamixon’s unique and interesting rocks. We’ll go on a walk along High Bridge Trail, which is located behind Weisel Hostel to view some of our interesting rocks. We’ll learn how Nockamixon got these boulders, what “hornfels” are, and more! Please wear comfortable walking shoes. This walk will last about an hour. If there is predicted rain, please call the Education Center an hour prior to the walk to verify its status. We’ll be meeting at the Weisel Hostel, which is located at 7347 Richlandtown Rd. We will meet at the parking lot. This walk is FREE and no pre-registration is required.
There is no charge for the program and it is open to adults and children of all ages. For more information please call the Nockamixon State Park Education Center at (215) 529-7307.
