Rock Walk (School’s Out Fun Walk)
NOCKAMIXON STATE PARK – September 26 at 11:00 am
School’s out for the day- come get some exercise and maybe (don’t tell the kids) learn something too! We’ll be walking High Bridge Trail which is located behind the Weisel Hostel. It is a beautiful trail that just happens to have some interesting rocks along the way. Participants will learn about the geologic history of Nockamixon while getting outside and enjoying the fall weather. This program is FREE and no pre-registration is required. In case of rain or other bad weather, please call the Education Center an hour prior to the walk to verify its status. This walk is a family friendly walk and everyone is invited to come. It will last about an hour. Please wear comfortable walking shoes. The Weisel Hostel is located at 7347 Richlandtown Road. We will meet at the parking lot.
There is no charge for the program and it is open to adults and children of all ages. For more information please call the Nockamixon State Park Education Center at (215) 529-7307.
